Quentin Blake
Maybe it’s because I am a child of the 70s, but this exhibition is pressing all my retro buttons. The work of the truly wonderful Quentin Blake will be on display at the Foundling Centre slap-bang in the heart of literary London. Fans of Roald Dahl’s work will recognise Quentin Blake’s illustrations (say BFGto me and Blake’s nobble-nosed creation springs to mind immediately); he has also illustrated numerous works of famous poets and authors: notably the eccentric and brilliant Michael Rosen. This expo shows over 60 works by the first ever children’s Laureate, and is a collection of four series designed for children’s hospitals in the UK. If you know his stuff, go see it and appreciate your childhood all over again. If not? You are missing out my friend. Go see. / Dexterous Diva
